| The Youth Challenge is a scratch tournament
conducted by the BC 5-Pin Bowler's Association and is open to
all bowlers 13 to 18 years of age. Eight games are bowled at a
provincial qualifying round and the top 3 boys and the top 3 girls comprise a team that advances to a national
championship.
The Provincial Championships were on Saturday,
November 24, 2007 at Scottsdale Lanes, 12033 - 84th Avenue,
Surrey starting at 3:00 pm. A big thank you to Ken
Clarke and the staff at Scottsdale Lanes for being great
hosts. Also thank you to Dave Andres and Ken Chambers
for helping out at the event. Congratulations to the top
3 boys and top 3 girls as they now advance to the National
Championships that will be held in Ottawa, Ontario on March 28
and 29, 2008.
Congratulations to the BC team wining the gold at the
National Championships. They had to beat Saskatchewan
twice and did it. Way to go team!! Also
congratulations to Jordon Schuss for being the top male all
star and winning a $1,000 scholarship and to Cally Hanson and
Sara Semkiw for making the ladies all star.
